In the News – NYU Abu Dhabi Undergraduates Propose a Protocol for 5G Internet

 

Ken Iiyoshi, Ruth Gebremedhin, and Mahrukh Tauseef are computer engineering students at New York University Abu Dhabi. They have proposed a new real time haptic communication protocol that will be potentially based on the 5G Internet. Their undergrad research work has been featured in Council on Undergraduate Research. Ken, Ruth and Mahrukh are working towards their capstone project with AimLab under the supervision of Mohamad A. Eid to develop a multimodal (haptic-audio-visual) dental training simulation system.
